Spam
VP Post October 4th. 2008, 9:02pmAs many of you have noticed, there has been an incredible amount of spam being delivered to the student body via the global distribution lists. I contacted Bryan Adams, the Director of Systems and Networking, and he informed me that they are aware of this problem and issue. He assured me that they are working on the problem and that they hope to find a solution at the beginning of next week. I will keep everyone updated. For the meantime, just delete the spam or block the sender through the tools provided on the webmail site.

Hey Everyone,
This was posted on Trinity Exchange today. I figured it might be worth reposting here:
Increase in Spam Messages and Phishing Attempts
There has been a recent increase in spam messages to the campus. While the college`s spam filtering software is currently functioning, the influx has caused messages that normally would be caught and labeled as spam to instead reach people`s inboxes. This volume of spam should dissipate over time, however, we cannot rule out another wave of messages hitting the campus again in the future.
Please also be aware of the continued phishing email scams. Never give your username, password, or any personal information via email to anyone.
