Welcome to the Trinity College Student Government Association Website.

The Student Government Association (SGA) is a student-run organization that has the responsibility of providing for the general welfare of the student body. We do this primarily by advocating for the needs and desires of the students. We work closely with administrators, faculty, staff, and trustees to accomplish this goal. The SGA oversees every recognized student organization at the college and is authorized by the student body to be “regarded as the absolute authority concerning student life.”
The SGA is comprised of five students from each class year, five senators-at-large, and a four member executive board. All senators and officers are elected by the student body and must abide by the rules and carry out the responsibilities set fourth in our constitution. The SGA holds regular weekly meetings that are open to the public.
In order to best serve the student body, one of our main objectives is to provide an open forum where students can express their views and contribute their opinions. We also want our operations to be as transparent as possible. We will use this website to make information and services more accessible to you. We want people to not only understand how the SGA functions, but also be able to easily interact with us. This website offers a variety of services, provides important information such as records and senate meeting minutes, and has a blog where students can create posts or join in on conversations. The site also contains contact and biographical information so that you can get to know your elected officials.
We are also open to recommendations, so feel free to e-mail your ideas to the site’s Webmaster, Sarah Thayer.
We hope that you take some time to enjoy the site. Have a great year!
Very truly yours,
Andrew Grubin
