(Biology Club, ConnPIRG, Green Campus, Outdoors Club)
The TREEhouse is committed to providing opportunities for the Trinity community to explore environmental sustainability and outdoor recreation providing an entertainment alternative to that which currently predominates Vernon/ Allen. The principles of environmental sustainability are central to all College activities, and by integrating these principles into the themes of its events as well as its operations; the TREEhouse serves as a leader within our social community. The TREEhouse will demonstrate environmental stewardship through its commitment to energy conservation and renewable energy; local, organic, non-toxic and recycled-content purchasing; discussion, written and artistic expression with respect to environmental concerns; workshops teaching skills such as how to compost, how to shop responsibly for gifts, and how to make paper, candles, and/ or soap; and film review.
