LVL
La Voz Latina
The main purpose of La Voz Latina/LVL is to increase the awareness of Latino/Hispanic culture, politics, and social issues through social and cultural programming in the Trinity community and the greater Hartford area. This semester, we held a celebration for Hispanic Heritage month, had our annual Salsarengue event which celebrates Hispanic culture, music/dance and food and donated all of our proceeds to a local charity. La Voz Latina has also participated in community service events like Halloween on Vernon, No Kid Left Cold, and helped a Hartford hard working mother with necessities for her baby. Next semester, our organization hopes to have a series of speakers, workshops and discussions that will continue to increase Hispanic awareness on campus. La Voz Latina meets every Sunday at 8PM at La Eracra, Vernon Street. We are very welcoming and love new ideas so please come join us.
