House of Peace

The mission of this organization is to raise awareness and understanding of Middle Eastern cultures, lifestyles, and traditions to the students of Trinity College. The House of Peace offers students the opportunity to experience Middle Eastern culture through delicious cuisine, monthly Arab movie screenings, traditions, and customs. We also hold many events that will allow Trinity College students to interact with the culture first hand through great intellectual lectures, workshops, dances and festivals. Our main purpose and intention is to give the students of this college the chance to better understand and appreciate the way of life of people in the Middle East; but most importantly we will try to illustrate this region’s influence in the world today and in the future. In addition, we hope this organization will provide a unique and different perspective of the Middle East and its people to Trinity College students in a more positive light.
