The SGA Budget Committee (SGABC) is comprised of members elected from the student body as well as members appointed from within the SGA. The SGABC is charged with allocating funds from the SAF (Student Activities Fund) to student organizations. The SGABC hears requests for non-entertainment related activities, such as conferences, guest speakers, and other academic events. Requests for social events, like parties and concerts, go to the EAC (Entertainment Activities Council).

In order to request funding from the SGABC, simply fill out an Event Expenditure Request Form, which can be found under the Finance tab. Both individual students and recognized student organizations can request funding from the SGABC. After submitting the form, the student/organization will be contacted via e-mail to schedule a hearing, at which time the student/organization will give a brief presentation. The student/organization will then be notified, again via e-mail, of the SGABC’s decision.

The SGABC meets every Monday at 5:00 pm in Seabury N-128. Requests must be submitted by Saturday at noon in order to be heard the following Monday. Requests turned in after Saturday at noon will be heard the following week.
