Senate

Dobromir joined the SGA in his first year and since then he has been a Senator for the class of 2013, the Chair of Student Life, and a Senator-at-Large. This year, Dobromir is serving as the SGA President. In the fall of 2011, he spent a semester abroad with the Trinity-in-Barcelona program. During his time at Trinity, he has been involved with different groups: he spent two years on the Men’s Rowing team, he worked as a tour guide for three years, he is a student admissions associate, he belongs to the group of student alumni ambassadors, he spent a year with the African Development Coalition, and he has worked as a student technology assistant.

Preston joined the SGA in the fall of his sophomore year as Class Senator. Early on, Preston served on several committees including the Budget Committee, the Student Life Committee and the Information Technology in Education Committee. In his second semester on the SGA, Preston was the Chairperson for ERC. After changes were made to the social policy last spring, he joined the Student Task Force. This year Preston is serving as the Executive Vice President. Preston has been the Treasurer of the Trinity at Kennelly mentoring program and the House Manager of the Austin Arts Center since his freshman year. During his sophomore year, Preston co-founded the Trinity College Entrepreneur Association, also serving as treasurer. He is currently a resident assistant, a tour guide, and a member of the Honor Council.

Shawna joined the SGA her junior year and since then she has served as a representative for the class of 2013 as well as Committee Chair to the Student Experience Committee. This year, Shawna is serving as the VP of Finance. Shawna strives to be an advocate for the Trinity community as well as the Hartford community. This year she is the coordinator for Praxis, the community service dormitory on campus. Shawna also enjoys doing chemistry research. In the spring of her junior year, she worked in an Analytical Physical Chemistry Laboratory and presented her research at the Connecticut Valley Chapter of the American Chemical Society. In the summer before her senior year, she worked in an Organic Chemistry research lab and will continue to do research in his lab throughout her final year.

Juan joined the SGA his senior year and is serving as the VP of Multicultural Affairs Council (MAC). Juan has served as Freshman representative, Treasurer, and, now, Co-Chair of the Men of Color Alliance. He has served Trinity as a PRIDE Leader for two years and now as a Senior PRIDE Leader. He has also been a member of the Campus Climate Committee's Emergency Response Team. He is a POSSE scholar and is a member of the first POSSE from Chicago. He has served on the Honor Council and has also served within the Multicultural Affairs Council.

Will joined the SGA his senior year and is serving as the VP of Entertainment Activities Council (EAC). Will's curiosity and interest in variety of organizations has been eminent since his first year. He has been on the varsity cross-country and track & field teams, The Mill, WRTC, SAAC, Kappa Sigma, and the Boxing Club. These activities and organizations have encouraged Will to remain very active on campus and therefore have made him want to organize events and activities that would make everyone's experience at Trinity more enriching, both academically and socially. EAC was a great opportunity to make this happen so he decided to join the SGA and embark on this exciting new journey.
