Zipcars…Almost

As I’m sure most of you have heard by now, the SGA Campus Infrastructure Committee has been working on bringing Zipcars to campus, and we are very close to achieving our goal. On Monday, February 11, 2008, President Jones and his Senior Staff Council will be deciding on whether or not to, in fact, adopt this measure. (For those of you who don’t know, Zipcar is a car-sharing program — for more information, go to zipcar.com.) This will be a very important meeting, and I am actually circulating a petition to be given to them that day, so if you’d like to sign, please contact me at either Krystal.Ramirez@trincoll.edu or call me at 281-795-0880. I respectfully urge you to strongly consider the adoption of Zipcars for the Trinity College campus. Not only will this measure help to alleviate parking problems by reducing personal vehicle ownership and usage, but it will also promote eco-friendly practices by students, such as carpooling, etc. Please take these things into account as you make your decision.
