Paid Webmaster Position

The SGA needs a new Webmaster! This person will be paid $650 dollars per semester. The position requires an understanding of HTML and at least minimal experience with maintaining a Web site. Below are the expectations and requirements for the position – we encourage everyone qualified to please come to the SGA meeting this Sunday, October 12th, at 7:00 p.m. in Hamlin Hall to apply for the position. Please come prepared with a one to two minute speech explaining your qualifications, experience, and why you think you are the best person for the job.

Expectations and Responsibilities:

1. To ensure functionality and aesthetics in the layout of the website
2. To be available to train and assist members of the SGA and student body on the proper techniques and requirements of posting and other website functions
3. To maintain and update the SGA Member Profiles, and to create new profiles in the case of new Senate members
4. To upload minutes, resolutions and agendas on a weekly basis
5. To complete weekly backups of all databases and the website
6. To complete monthly backups of all databases and the website onto SGA computers
7. To attend weekly meetings of the Elections Recruitment Committee (ERC)
8. To attend weekly senate meetings
9. To attend weekly steering board meetings
10. To hold the office for the whole senate session
11. Report directly to the chair of the ERC for all matters pertaining to the website
12. Be paid a stipend of $650 per semester.

Qualifications:

1. Must have knowledge of HTML
2. Willingness to obtain the comprehension needed to satisfy the goals of the website
