We randomly selected 800 Trinity College students for this survey, and mailed them links to the survey online on January 23rd 2008. After a week we mailed a reminder to the non-respondents. 342 students responded, amounting to a 43% response rate. Since the response rates varied significantly by gender and class year (from 34% among Soph males to 57% among 1st year females) results below have been weighted by gender and class year.

It is good to know that many students care about recycling. As the head of the Campus Infrastructure Committee, I am trying, along with other SGA Senators, to work on bettering the system.
