DOWNLOAD THE ELECTIONS PACKET: SGA Election Packet

Hello everyone,

SGA Elections will be held on Thursday, September 17 through Friday, September 18.  The Fall 2009 election packet is attached to this email.  Election packets and signatures must be turned in to Mather Front Desk by 5:00pm on Monday, September 14.

Positions available:
1 Class President, 1 Class Vice-President, and 1 Class Secretary from each class;
5 SGA Senators from each class;
1 Senator-At-Large from any class;
4 SGA Budget Committee members from any class;
1 SGA Entertainment and Activities Council (EAC) Representative from each class; and
3 IDP Senators
Elections are held online and an email ballot will be sent to you on the day of the election.
Anyone running for a Class Officer position will need 75 signatures.  Anyone running for Budget Committee, EAC Representative, or Senator-At-Large will need 50 signatures, and anyone running for Class Senator will need 25 signatures.

Note:  The full SGA senate will meet every Sunday at 7pm.  Senators must be available for meetings at this time.

You will be able to find me in the back of the Cave this Friday, September 11, from 5 until 6: 30 PM, in order to answer any questions.  Feel free to stop by.  If you have ever considered getting more involved in your school or amending the problems you see around you, now is your chance.  Good luck!

Sincerely,

Andrew Grubin
SGA President

A note about previously posted versions of the Elections Packet: The lastest version of the election packet has one small change from the previous version; we make it clear that EAC candidates require 50 signatures, whereas before the number of signatures required for that position was not yet listed. Those using one of the election packets posted by me in the past couple days may continue doing so; please just note that EAC candidates require 50 signatures. Sorry for any confusion created by past uploads of the election packet.

Fall 2009 Election Packet

Sep 7, 2009   //   by Adam Katcher   //   Uncategorized  //  No Comments

Hello! Here is the updated version* of the Fall 2009 Election Packet.

Give it a try and run for a position on the Student Government Association! Put yourself out there, get involved on campus, and creative positive change on this campus. Join the SGA today!

*(If you’ve already started completing the election packet I uploaded on the website last night, that’s okay. The change added to this updated packet was that the “SGA approval signature” at the top of the signatures page was moved on the packet to avoid possible confusion–this SGA signature is for office use only, as this updated packet makes clear. Thank you to OCL’s Nora Huth for the change).
